Piney River Ranch, Wildflower Wedding

2020 has been a lot. We have been forced to rethink everything about our business as well as the way that we walk in this world as individuals. Among all of the difficulties of this year, there have been a lot of really wonderful revelations and opportunities to put greater intention behind Emma Lea Floral. We thought about what we do best and what truly brings us joy in this work. One things that stood out to us was that we kept coming back to this wedding. It will likely always remain an absolute favorite for us because the love radiated from every person in attendance. There was not a dry eye in the house (including ours) and the joy was palpable.

This wedding also is a beautiful representation of what we are always striving for Emma Lea Floral to be. Open and inclusive, full of color and joy, and free of floral foam, with as many locally sourced blooms as we can get our hands on.

Bea & Kelly were married a Piney River Ranch to pay homage to the summer camp where they met and fell in love. We created wildflower inspired arrangements with flowers grown from local farms. Dahlias, zinnias, ranunculus, and snapdragons added vibrant shades of purple, red, pink, and orange to the cool greens and blues of the Rocky Mountains. Southwestern touches like cacti, turquoise, custom jackets, and a very special rug at the ceremony brought lots of personal detail to the celebration.

For the reception space we alternated between lush greenery garland and florals down the long tables. Candles were clustered down every table for a warm glow that was perfection once the sun went down. Strawflower was one of our favorite floral touches. Dried strawflower heads were scattered down the tables among candles and cacti for color and detail down the table.

This wedding was planned by the incomparable Purple Summer Events and photographed by Non-Native Photography.
