2020 is winding down and we are taking a look back on what this tumultuous year has looked like for Emma Lea Floral. With the pandemic, a revived social justice movement, and a highly anticipated Presidential election (just to name a few things), this year has asked us all to change the way we look at the world.

Emma Lea Floral, like most businesses, had to quickly adjust to the realities of 2020. This meant taking on smaller weddings and saying goodbye to our standard minimums. At first this felt like a defeat because we have spent years shaping our business and reaching important milestones as it grew. But, as we all quickly learned, there is so much joy in the small things. We have absolutely loved creating memorable floral designs for intimate weddings and elopements! Helping couples find joy and celebrate love in this difficult season has been a true gift.

We will be sharing all of the different things we have been up to this year in future posts, but I wanted to start with this backyard wedding which feels so perfectly 2020!

Kristen & Keith had originally planned to keep their wedding intimate but restriction on gathering sizes at restaurants and bars meant their celebration needed a change of venue. They chose their backyard for dinner and dancing under the stars! They brought their wedding party into the mountains for epic portraits and to exchange their vows. From there they returned home to family and friends for an intimate ceremony.

There was no shortage of love and hope on this day and we were thrilled to be a small part of the beauty!
